Our mission is twofold, namely:

 

1. To promote the Volta Region as a competitive sustainable tourism destination in Ghana and the West-African subregion.

2. To inform, educate and raise awareness among Voltarians, Ghanaians and the broader audience about the challenges the Volta is facing in terms of environmental degradation, threats to biodiversity and degradation of the region's different cultures.

​

Both are aspects are key in our mission since they are interrelated; challenges need to be addressed in order to have a healthy and sustainable tourism industry within the region.

Our vision is a prosperous Volta Region where Voltarians and Ghanaians are proud of, which has a well-developed and well-running sustainable tourism industry and in which its citizens take their responsibilities in caring for both the rich nature and culture and where responsible travel will contribute to both the conservation of nature and culture.

Aim & Objectives: We aim to promote the whole Volta Region and its variety of (potential) tourism destinations and attractions as well as educating and informing Voltarians, Ghanaians and the broader audience.  

 

 

We believe that the promotion of the region, in combination with educating and informing will create awareness about the challenges and contribute to - the capacity for - the development of sustainable tourim in the Volta.
